The annual chili-judging contest (featuring panel of celebrity judges) begins at 2pm\, with prizes awarded in five categories. Although there will be more than enough chili to go around\; chili is not the only thing on the menu. There will also be food served hot-off-the-grill\, beer\, soft drinks and snacks available for purchase. The event features plenty of attractions and kid-friendly activities: baked goods\, vendor fair\, arts and crafts\, ?Kidzone? area\, bounce-house games and community exhibits (City of West Columbia Fire Department Ladder truck\, Lexington County Sheriff Department Chevy " Bomb Truck"\, SC Navy Reserves\, Pet's Inc. ) and an expansive silent auction. There is plenty of free parking. All contributions and event proceeds benefit Glenforest School student scholarships.
