The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) is an independent federal agency that holds primary responsibility for regulating consumer protection with regard to financial product and services. The CFPB was created to act as a medium through which consumers can direct their complaints to businesses. The CFPB also holds authority to require businesses to respond to complaints issued against them, regardless of the nature of the complaint. Failure to respond could prove costly to your bottom line.
