Lexington Elementary to host internet safety seminar
LEXINGTON, S.C. ? Lexington Elementary School?s School Improvement Council is sponsoring an internet safety seminar called Internet Safety for Children and Adults on Thursday, October 14, 2010, at 6 P.M. in the cafeteria of Lexington Elementary School. Patti Fowler, Internet Safety Education Coordinator, from the South Carolina Attorney General?s Office, will present internet safety tips for parents, information about cyber bullying, suggestions for keeping children safe online and tips for minimizing risk for children.
The seminar is open to the public.
Lexington Elementary School is located at 116 Azalea Drive in Lexington, South Carolina.

Patti Fowler will be making the presentation ?Internet Safety for Children and Adults.? She will be bringing copies of a book Net-cetera which is published by the Federal Trade Commission concerning internet safety, a Chat-Lingo guide for parents, and pencils for the children. She said she would do the first 15 minutes with the children present. Kids will be dismissed to do craft type activity.
